What is a lista de novios?
In short
Lista de novios
A lista de novios is the gift list a couple puts together for their wedding—Peru’s name for a wedding registry. It’s set up at a department store, with items from its catalog, or as a contribution list, where each gift is money toward something the couple chooses.

It’s shared together with the invitation, or shortly after, so nobody has to ask where to send a gift.
There are two ways to set one up:
- At a store. The couple picks items from a department store’s catalog and guests buy them there. Each store sets its own terms.
- With contributions. The list says what each gift is for—a hotel night, the sofa, the down payment—and guests chip in money toward it. It suits couples who already have the basics, are moving far away or are saving for a trip.
Unlike a lluvia de sobres, where each guest decides the amount and hands it over in an envelope on the day, a lista de novios says what to give and how much each thing costs.
With parati, the registry lives on the same link as the invitation. Big gifts can be split into shares so several guests can go in on them, and guests pay by card or Yape (Peru’s mobile wallet) without signing up.
